Welcome to Truth Medicine Collective.
Dr Mike here!
I am honored and grateful you’ve joined Truth Medicine Collective! Together, we will create a world with people who live in the heart. The purpose of this community is to have a space where we have meditative experiences together, share and be vulnerable about what it’s like to be human in this world, and to leave feel peaceful, calm, and inspired to live fully. I will also offer my insights into topics like truth, authenticity, unconditional love, and offer poems, through a newsletter.
For $24 a month, you will receive the newsletter, have the opportunity to join me live in a monthly gathering, receive messages from me throughout the month, and have the chance to stay connected to other TMC members.
Community is an essential part of the spiritual life. In fact, the Buddha himself taught that spiritual friendship is the most important part of spiritual life.
In the Upaddha Sutta, Ananda, Buddha’s most senior disciple, says: Dear teacher, half of the holy life is good friendship, good companionship, good community. And the Buddha responds: Not so Ananda! Not so! Spiritual friendship is the entire holy life, Ananda!
Even the hermit monks I studied with had a strong community supporting them as they offered spiritual support back to the community. None of us does this alone; we actually cannot. The principle of interdependence underlies all of life. Not one thing that you do, or eat for that matter, arises independently in a vacuum. Everything depends on everything else. And so knowing this, it becomes so important to take care of everything! That means yourself, others, animals, plants, insects, and the planet itself on which we and all of life depends. We might as well be intentional then, and be in community that consciously supports one another on this journey.
That is what Truth Medicine Collective offers. And so I welcome you to our community, where we support one another in our thriving and living fully. Where you are welcome to be yourself, encouraged in fact to be the best of yourself; to show up just as you are, and maybe leave feeling better, more inspired to be better, for yourself, your family, community, and the world. It’s what this world needs most: us showing up being the best of ourselves!
Welcome!!
